Filipe Luis: I enter the field to win

All players may want to exchange shirts with Lionel Messi at the end of the match, but not Filipe Luis, who has said he never intended to ask the Barcelona captain for the shirt.

Luis has met very often on the pitch with Messi, during his career as a defender for Deportivo La Coruna and Atletico Madrid in La Liga, as well as with the Brazilian national team on the international stage, but has never expressed a desire to exchange shirts with the Argentine.

“I always hit him to stop him; he never approaches me. I adore Messi a lot for the football he plays, “Filipe told Panenka.

“I never asked him for the shirt, because I enter the field to win, not to say that I played against him,” he added.

Luis, now a Flamengo player, believes that Messi is the best footballer of this era.

“Everyone knows what I think about him. “The only thing you have to do is enjoy him because I don’t know how many years and decades will pass before we see a player like him.”

“Messi has to win the Ballon d’Or every year,” he added.
