Paulo Dybala has revealed that he had let other clubs wait because he knew he would sooner or later receive a call from Juventus. He says he didn’t want to go anywhere else but Juventus.

The Argentine striker joined Juventus from Palermo for 40 million euros in the summer of 2015, but his market value has doubled since then.

Paulo Dybala is still recovering. He spoke at Juventus website about the first time when he realized that Juventus wanted him.

“I remember that day as if it had happened yesterday,” Dybala said.

I was at home in Palermo with my mother and others. We were talking about what could happen, the team I could choose. Many clubs and coaches called me. “I did not close the door to anyone by saying no, yes or no, because I felt that sooner or later I would receive a call from Juventus,” he revealed.

“One day, after lunch, my manager called me and told me that within an hour I would receive a phone call from the Juventus sporting director. I talked to Fabio Paratici and he told me that he would do everything to make sure that I would join Juventus, “he added.

“Immediately after I left the phone, I ran to my mother, hugged her and told her I didn’t want to go anywhere else,” he said.

Since then, the 26-year-old has made 216 appearances for Juventus, scoring 91 goals and 36 assists.
