Cristiano Ronaldo may have turned 35 in February, but the Juventus striker is not ready to give up writing history and add prices, says Bernardo Silva.
The duo were part of their country’s success in the League of Nations last summer. As Ronaldo added the fifth Golden Ball award to his collection while winning his fifth Champions League trophy.
Silva said his compatriot wants even more, and that he is hungry to win even in training.
“I think what makes it great is the mentality.” said the Manchester City midfielder, Bernardo .
“He is 35 years old and for more than 15 years he has played at highest levels and is not tired yet. He always wants more and more.”
“He wants to win more Champions League trophies. More titles with Portugal, more leagues, more individual trophies. He wants more goals.”
“Annoying for him is even when in a training session, you are playing a game, and the result is 1-1. The manager says that whoever scores then wins, and he is always there. It’s not just about the game.”
“When a game is blocked and you don’t know if you will win or not, you know that if you give him the ball, it’s up to him to decide. Something special can happen when he has the ball.”
“Even in training sessions he is always the one who scores the most important goals, I think that is what makes him special. He is always in the most important moments.”
