The price of the striker Timo Werner will fall to 50 million euros if Red Bull Leipzig fails to win the Bundesliga title.
RB Leipzig star Timo Werner has been one of the main reasons for his team’s success this season. With 21 goals and seven assists this season in the Bundesliga.
These appearances have led to the expectation that he will leave Leipzig as soon as the summer transfer window opens, due to the interest of some of the biggest European clubs in securing his services for next season.
Inter have reportedly identified Werner as the perfect replacement for Lautaro Martinez, if the latter decides to leave for Barcelona this summer.
But Liverpool, led by 24-year-old compatriot Jurgen Klopp, are ready to fight the Blues this summer to win the race for the player’s transfer.
According to the Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, the clause for the termination of his contract with Leipzig will fall from 60 to 50 million euros if his team fails to win the Bundesliga title this season.
Leipzig are currently third in the German Bundesliga table, five points behind Bayern Munich. But they have reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
