Weidenfeller believes Sane will end up at the Allianz Arena.
Former Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller says Leroy Sane’s transfer to Bayern Munich is likely to take place.
Speaking to Sport1, the former Dortmund goalkeeper told him that he was “almost certain” that Leroy would return to the Bundesliga.
Asked how he knew about Sane’s possible transfer to Bayern, Weidenfeller said: “As a former footballer, you have some resources.”
Sane has been part of Man City since 2016.
But the 24-year-old has never been the first choice in Pep Guardiola’s first lineup.
He wants a team where he will feel important and Bayern have guaranteed him that.
Sane has made 134 appearances for Bayern so far, scoring 34 goals and providing many assists.
